Where We Start

The first step in data processing is always to understand the data and to explore the relationships behind it. Understanding your data is the only way to make truly informed decisions.

This means first identifying the data sources and then defining the data cleansing requirements. Managing historical, real-time or hybrid channels is also essential to ensure accurate and reliable information. Preliminary data analysis helps to map the structure and quality of the data to provide a basis for analysis.

But data alone is not enough – understand your business too. Mapping your current business model and processes will highlight operational specifics, while identifying business challenges, problems and pain points will help you chart a course for improvement. Based on the analysis, potential solution concepts are developed, followed by high-level business process redesign.

The key to success is a well-designed solution. Therefore, after defining the solution and the business case, a high-level solution design is prepared, including the design of the high-level architecture. A detailed business case is also developed to inform the business decisions and, if justified, a Proof of Concept (PoC) can be developed to demonstrate the viability of the concept.

Aligning data with business objectives is not just a technology issue – it is the foundation for successful decision making.
